 Today two of my favorite actors got awards in two different programs. 

Ashok Saraf - Maharashtra Bhushan Award (Govt of Maharashtra)

And Vikrant Massey -Filmfare Best actor Male- Critics Choice for 12th Fail.

Few days ago I was listening to Ashok Saraaf and Nivedita Saraf's life story. They faced a really hard time when their child was suffering from a very serious disease. 

In Recent years, Nivedita Saraaf also got some really great opportunities in TV series. She is getting recognized and admired in this age. Her recipe videos also got a lot of recognition on social media.

Many many years ago, I remember watching Vikrant Massey in Balika Vadhu as an actor. He marries a pregnant widow and saves her from humiliation. 

Recently Shreyas Talpade also got a lot of great opportunities. He got the lead role in very famous Marathi TV show -'Mazi Tuzi Reshimgaath' and then a movie- 'Kaun Pravin Tambe?' and again got recognized for his Hindi voice over he did for lead actor of Pushpa. He gave his Voice to Pushpa in Hindi.

And just a few days ago, he suffered a heart attack in his late forties. Now he is fine. 

But life really makes you strong before giving you success. Seeing their child suffer must have been a difficult time for Saraf couple.Now he is a Chef outside India. 

Life is tricky!

I also feel these awards are biased in Hindi Film Industry and only few particular families kind of own the film industry. In such scenario, Vikrant getting recognition in the Filmfare is a big deal for many movie lovers.

Heartfelt best wishes for all my favorites! Well deserved!

My Daily Vlog, Jan 30, 2024

 Had a busy day today. Our helper did not come today. So, I had to clean up the house  and take care of my kid who was home today also. She has little cold. She was fine as soon as we told her 'No school today !' 

I remembered my childhood. I always had almost 100% attendance. Coincidentally my husband also had 100% attendance in his school days. In fact he would be ready for school 1 hour before time.  

He was typical scholar guy. My reason was my mom had office and there was no one to look after me. 

Schools these days have everything. But students don't feel that connect. Everything is marketing marketing. Many people have the same observation. 

Teachers in India are so occupied and stressful. Teachers are the backbone of a country. It should be a highly valued profession. 

I heard Japan has a lot of respect for Teachers in their culture. Like There is a Army sign on army person's vehicle , they have a Teacher sign on Teacher's vehicle in Japan. 

Also, when in court even the judge has to stand up when a professor or a teacher is present in the audience to show respect. 

I guess that's how they rose from ashes to sky.  From atomic attacks to this day..

 Today I will write about stress management through cooking. I realized this during the lock down days. Any household word you do regularly, will make you manage your stress better. Be it doing the dishes or cooking some nutritious food for family, it will really settle you down no matter how much stressful the situation is.

While cooking specially, you have to focus properly and make the food in right quantity for those many people and also the taste should be perfect. Perfect taste comes only when you put right spices in the right quantities.

And you should be cooking for someone else. Not for yourself. When you are alone, you are ok with bread butter and instant noodles and a cup of tea. But when You are cooking for someone else, then you have to make something that's reasonably nutritious and tasty too.

One of the biggest stress busters is the cooking. Irrespective of the gender, everyone should cook for others in the family every now and then. Especially when you lack patience, you must try cooking for your family. It takes really a lot of patience. In such cases, you should cook for 8 days continuously. No repetitive dishes. Today one dish and the next day something equally healthy and attractive. Your patience level should increase by at least 25%.

My family loves Masala Paapad and Paneer Butter Masala made by me. Also KandePohe. That's my specialty. I have to make Kandepohe every now and then. Its a famous common marathi dish.

My Daily Blog Jan 28, 2024

Today I was not well. I could hardly stand. I still cooked palak paneer and rice and chapati for family. My kid loves Spinach. She should be eating more fruits and veggies. She eats only strawberry. And oranges once in a while. 

My husband also demands only potato most of the times. He eats a apple slice. Not even a whole apple.

He should eat all kinds of fruits. But convincing him is a big task.

When I got my first salary, my mother had warned me that I must spend enough on fruits. She said the same when I was getting married. We both should spend enough on fruits. What a Mother she is ! 

Just too perfect as a woman. One of the finest you will see on this planet. I want to make her proud. 

That would be difficult because it is difficult to impress her. 

Same with my husband. Very difficult to impress. People spent lockdown times in watching web series. He watched all the interviews of all the scholars and intelligent people all over the YouTube. And also interviews of all great artists and sports persons. 

If you ask him the name of a singer, he will tell you the singer name as well as who played the tabla, the flute and the keyboard also. His hostel friends would tease him if he knew the spot boys name also. 

It keeps me grounded to have these two in my life.

 Today I watched a Marathi movie. 'Baaipan Bharri Deva'. Its about a woman's life. They have shown a story of 6 ladies. 6 Sisters. Ok Ok Movie. People have given a lot of praise and 8.5 points in IMDB. I did not find it that great. But good. ok ok.

I also woke up little early today and did not sleep during the day today. I might sleep early today. I also want to watch Inception, Matrix series, Shooter and Star wars series. Yeah I am yet to watch these. I have seen Shooter a bit.I need to complete it. 

Sometimes distractions help you survive. Focusing is anyway is great virtue. But distractions also help a lot. 

But these days, I find more interest in doing my own work. This is so surprising that I am not willing to watch a movie. I love movies. But nowadays, I feel that my likes and dislikes are changing. My opinions are changing.

I am late in posting this particular post. One day late!!! But, my Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar once said a very beautiful statement. There should be always some place for imperfection in your life.

Expecting perfection everywhere will increase your feverishness. I have really lived this. He also explained that there is no such thing as perfect action in this world. Either there will be flaw in the action/skill/ the technique or in the doer or in the intention. If all the 3 constraints are perfect;- that is- Your intention is right, your way of doing is perfect and it does not have any latent effects , then you are almost an Avtaar. (Like Sri krishna/ Sri Ram)

Avtaar means a person has not taken birth to repay his good or bad karmaas. He just came to show the light to the world.

So, missing a blog was imperfect. But i can still continue. I want to post 365 posts this year. 

My kid had republic day celebration at school. But we let her be at home this year. She is reacting to the cold environment in Pune. Pune is being the coldest in the state this time. It is not a good idea to miss the flag hosting in school. But this time we let her rest.

I did some household work. I will be planting some trees this long weekend. Cold is affecting me also. I will buying some plants very soon.

 Today, I was thinking how we are born in a particular area and amongst a particular set of people. 

We mostly get hurt by these same people. Friends/ relatives and even the parents or our kids also. Smooth life is a myth. If we are not born near to each other and never come in touch, how will we set the Karma business right?

If I am born in India and someone is born in Africa, we will have to come in touch in some way or the other to sort our Karmas. If not anything at least there will be some online fraud. But that person is supposed to hurt you, he/she will definitely hurt you. 

Its like two waves of the ocean clashing and again merging into the ocean again. 

We are part of the same ocean but the guy who created this universe played a lot of video games before creating this universe. There are so many levels and he enjoys this game so much. He has set this algorithm so complex.. don't even think about it...

Such a DRAMA-KING this guy must be.. and a really big fat attention seeker.

But he loves us...

 Today we have a dinner party at JM Marriott Pune. We have our CEO visiting us. My daughter has an online school today because there is a march in Pune. My husband also is working from home. So, he can take care of her and I can relax a bit. 

I have observed that my productivity increases a lot when I am working from office, But again, working from home has many more benefits. 

• You get to spend more time with kids
• you can follow any diet you want since not dependent on canteen
• you can pick and drop your kid. This allows them to join extra curricular classes
• One car/cab/two wheeler less in the crowd
  
• you are not using paper cup to drink tea/coffee/juice like canteen
• you are not eating just because everything is available
• You are not sleeping in day time
• You need not spend a lot on clothing as you are mostly working from home.. those casuals are fun too
• You are saving petrol/environment
• You can work longer hours

Isn't that amazing. People should be allowed to work from home. You can ask them to work for 10 hours if you want.

And the working hours should not be more than 8 hours if working from office. Female employees really have a hard time if they are working for 9 or 9.30 hours every day. They have a lot more responsibilities as a Mother. Even males have a lot to do if they help in things like kid's homework/projects etc.

What is the use of technology if you cant work from home in this era of 5G.

Citizens of Lanka were totally scared to see that Ram has built a setu within 5 days. Moreover, his army had to only write Ram's name on the stones and the stones would float on the ocean. If he is so powerful, we are in serious trouble. 

Ravan came to know about this. He invited everybody to the seashore and he showed everybody that even he is capable of doing the same. He would pick the stone, write 'Ravan' on it, and it would float too. 

Everybody in Lanka was happy to see that even their king is capable enough. They went home happily. 

Mandodari asked Ravan about it. He said he wrote his own name and while throwing the stone in the water he would tell the stone '"if you sink, you will be called the enemy of SriRam. So, you bettter keep floating."

And it had to float!

Ravana was a great devotee. We need 9 more brains to understand his devotion. But he was stuck in 🧠 brain. It must be really dry life. I mean technology and intelligence is fine. But only this brainy stuff would make the life so dry. 

He was too intellectual hence, it was difficult for Ram (Life) to enter his life, his area. Hanuman symbolized Pran shakti (Life force). Only Pran shakti could have helped Ram to enter Ravan's place.

Seeta symbolizes peace. He desperately wanted that Peace. Ravan did not want more knowledge or wisdom or more evolution. He only wanted only peace & liberation. And later he got it. 

What a magnificent story! It stays with you all the time. It gives strength and peace. 

Today, everybody had a holiday except our office. Our CEO is visiting us. So, I got ready and it was difficult to get the cab today. Finally one ride was booked. 

I left and checked for OTP.  Driver name was Rajaram. I don't usually feel this excited. But today I told everybody that my driver name was Rajaram.

 Today I was thinking about a scene in Ramanand Sagar's  Ramayana. 

Lakshman and Bharat are teasing Ram. They are in Janakpuri/ Mithila as Ram broke the Pinaka Bow and Seeta is now supposed to marry him. 

Lakshman tells Bharat that Ram had totally lost his heart after he saw Seeta in the Garden. He could not sleep well. Both Seeta and Ram had already fallen in love before the Swayamvara took place.

Ram says wonderful lines. He says - The way we can't chose our relatives like brothers, sisters, your kids or friends; they are chosen & bestowed by destiny, same way the the better half is also chosen for us by destiny only. So, when your heart recognizes someone, just surrender to that moment of love and leave the rest to the destiny. 

Such simplicity! So much of Sahaj Bhaav..(No Feverishness, effortless stressfree behavior)

On the other side, Seeta knows the condition her father has put. She cannot even pray that she wants Ram as her husband. So she just says "You know what is in my heart and what the situation is. So, I won't put it in words. YOU KNOW." 

They both stay in their limits. Ram practices surrender and so does Seeta.

If you don't fall in love at first sight, what is the point...

In fact, I would says- if you can't recognize someone in the very first glance, or if that person can't recognize you in the first glance, what's the point of dating multiple times...

Wife: I do so much for this house. office work, house work and what not.. there is Laundry and cooking .. and folding the clothes, cleaning the kitchen top and dusting.................................(.She goes on)

Husband:................. (Remains COOL...)

Wife: We should just alter our roles for a day

Husband: Sure. We can. You only have to look after the kid's homework!

Wife: ...( 180 ° shift)...OK HONEY...YOU WIN ..
