My Daily Blog Jan 20, 2024

Today I was thinking about a scene in Ramanand Sagar's  Ramayana.

Lakshman and Bharat are teasing Ram. They are in Janakpuri/ Mithila as Ram broke the Pinaka Bow and Seeta is now supposed to marry him.

Lakshman tells Bharat that Ram had totally lost his heart after he saw Seeta in the Garden. He could not sleep well. Both Seeta and Ram had already fallen in love before the Swayamvara took place.

Ram says wonderful lines. He says - The way we can't chose our relatives like brothers, sisters, your kids or friends; they are chosen & bestowed by destiny, same way the the better half is also chosen for us by destiny only. So, when your heart recognizes someone, just surrender to that moment of love and leave the rest to the destiny.

Such simplicity! So much of Sahaj Bhaav..(No Feverishness, effortless stressfree behavior)

On the other side, Seeta knows the condition her father has put. She cannot even pray that she wants Ram as her husband. So she just says "You know what is in my heart and what the situation is. So, I won't put it in words. YOU KNOW."

They both stay in their limits. Ram practices surrender and so does Seeta.

If you don't fall in love at first sight, what is the point...

In fact, I would says- if you can't recognize someone in the very first glance, or if that person can't recognize you in the first glance, what's the point of dating multiple times...

My Daily Vlog, Jan 18, 2024

Today I listened to Sri Sri Ravishankar's opinion on Ayodhya Temple. Some people are saying that the Temple is not completely built yet. Then Ram lalla's Pran Pratishtha should not be done before that.

Guruji said, the Rameshwar temple was built later. Ram and Lakshmana had already done pran pratishtha before building the Ram Setu. Same way the other 12 Jyotirlinga like Badrinath, kedarnath etc , they were also 'swayambhu' and the temples were built later by humans.

Such great logic this is. He also said that 22 Jan 2024 is a good day and even if there were any flaws, Gurus are there to guide the people.

So true!!

I am so fortunate that I could listen to AshtaVakra Geeta and Narada Bhakti Sutra by Sri Sri Ravishankar in my college days. Its like he has redefined the word 'BEAUTY'. Pure solace those videos are. I miss those days and moments.

It is so strange that when a moment is precious , we always realize its importance later. When history is being created, people creating the history are not aware of how precious those initial moments are. & This is how it should be. Otherwise all the naturalness is gone.

Today, I had severe back pain but I managed my tasks and I did my office tasks faster. I shouted at my kid today morning. I felt guilty later. I need to be more patient with her. They blossom at their own pace. we sitting next to them and waiting for them to show all the intelligence in a day does not help.

My Daily Blog Jan 17, 2024

Today, I am posting on time. My kid was home today. So the day was little occupied with her.

I also had some tasks to finish which I did. I watched one or two episodes of The Legend of Hanuman on Hotstar. Not a bad series. Well written. Each character is well written.

This series has been in the Most viewed top 10 series of Hotstar. The earlier seasons did well. This is season 3.

Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana is all time favorite for everyone. There is a Shiva song in third or second episode and there is a Vishnu Prayer in the first episode. I love both those songs.

The honesty in his attempt is what makes it so successful. These days people pay a lot of money to Musicians, writers and actors and lights and cameras. But still cant retain the audience. But they do wok hard. I respect that.

Ramayana has a poise and there is calmness in the story. That is why it is so close to everyone's heart.

There is a Tamil Song 'Naramugaye" by A. R. Rehman. What beauty!! These days I listen only to that song day and night. Truly beautiful. I don't understand a word of Tamil lyrics. But its really beautiful. I read the translation once.

Basically, the quality of final output is directly proportional to the honesty and sincerity of the person. Its clearly visible.
