I saw a movie recently. 12th Fail. It's based on a real life story of an IPS officer.
Good movie. There is a scene about how corrupt the Education system is.
In India, doing a white collar job has been everything so far. That is why the rat race. Everybody is competing to achieve the same goal.
There is a character who loses all his 6 attempts of UPSC and then he becomes a tea seller in the same area. I am sure he earned more after that. The system itself is a big failure. How will it ever help us win anything?
Have you seen shark tank India? People are doing such great businesses and they establish their own empire. No Education required. In fact the lesser educated are far more intelligent in their work.
Only engineering, medical, UPSC is not everything anymore. Those days are gone. And, I feel it's good that people are changing their mindset.
In fact, I would say going back to your small town or village and setting up your own empire is a far better idea.
The big cities have NOTHING in them. They have big malls where you pay 600 rupees for burgers and pizzas and buy clothes who lose shine in 4 washes. And your heart aches when you pay again for the same stuff in the same mall.
There is hardly anything else in the cities. There is crowd and traffic if you like them. And resorts where you want to pay more to feel good about your life.
There is literally Nothing in big cities. Medical treatment is available because you will soon lose health in such cities.
These days Saurav Joshi vlogs has become so successful. He does not show much on his channel. Just eating Maggie, momos, going on a long drive nearby. But he has become sucessful. Because most of us have lead the same life in small towns a few years ago. So people can relate to him and we miss those days.
Mahatma Gandhi also said the same that we should go back to our roots. To the villages! He knew it then.
Even parents have started to agree with this mindset these days.
The rat race robs away the life from you. Stay in small towns.
Jai Gurudev
